2004 Filly

These pictures were taken 6/22/2008.

She's 4 years old now.

She's right up there with the boys when they come in for food.  And little more shy though but still right up there.  Her favorite treats are the Oatmeal cookies.

She did real well for me today while I wormed her - hardly any fuss about the tube in the mouth.  She only got stubborn when I asked her to leave the grain bucket (GRIN).

She stands well for the farrier and loves some good scratches.

At 2 1/2 years she's 14.1 hands and about 750 pounds.

These pictures were taken on 1/15/2007.  I had more pictures of her but every time I tired all I got was a fogged lens or just a nose shot.

She is 2 years and 8 months (or 3 years by the registry) old.

These were taken May 30th, 2005.

And her Half Arabian Registration papers are in!  I registered her as a bay, but.....

the question is - what color is she and do I need to change her papers (GRIN)!

Sorry, it was quite windy today and taking pictures of her was a little boring for the "little girl".  She kept moving on me - dancing around and trying to get out with the rest of the herd.

Over all coloring.  Notice the obvious lighter mane hairs on top of the black mane hairs.

See the dorsal stripe and the lighter hairs?

Here's her pedigree on Allbreed.

On the 1/2 Paint side I see she has some Sonny Dee Bar, Oil King, King, and Leo.

On the Arabian side I see she has Gutne, Gulnare, Khilass, Fadl, Indraff, Raffles, Witez II, Daaldan and Gulastra.

I realize I'm name dropping here but this does show you she has some good blood.

Up to date on Shots and worming, stands tied, stands for the farrier, loves to be petted and groomed.

She has the Arabian movement, light on her feet and pretty fast. She has a refined head.

2/13/05 She did grow out of the curvature.  On further research, the curvature was probably due to her being so HUGE in utero!  Actually it was gone a long time ago, I just thought I'd say so at this point.

I took this picture when she was about 3 weeks old. I absolutely love that blaze and snip.

Born MAY 19, 2004 at about 11 AM in the morning (a daring daylight delivery). Heidi tells that she had been keeping an eye on Teza for a couple of days and had decided that Teza was just pulling her leg so she let her out of the stall that morning. And low and behold Teza decided to surprise Heidi by giving birth between Heidi's breakfast and lunch visits to the pasture.

The baby is doing very well, though she has a little curvature to one of her back legs that Heidi and I believe she will grow out

Teza's being a great mom.

Of course you have to realize, Teza picked the time I couldn't get down to see the baby as I had had surgery and haven't been able to drive there. I am hoping to get my hubby to take us down there soon to visit and take more pics.

Thank you Heidi for all these pics.  These were taken the afternoon she was born.
