XXth Century Girl
Taken 6/22/2008

Talk about a sweet people horse. Shima is
always willing to get petted. She loves our Oatmeal cookie treats and is
especially fond of Marshmallows. An easy keeper with great looks and a
level head as well.
She's really captured my heart.
She's a little head tossy but with patience she
settles.
Shima is her barn name.
FOR SALE: $1,800.00
14.2 Hands and 1150 pounds.
She
is a double registered Pinto (PtHA) and 1/2 Arabian Bay Tobiano mare. Yes,
Bay Tobiano. She's however become a Flea Bitten gray Tobiano. Such
an interesting looking girl. I have her PtHA papers but not her 1/2
Arabian papers - they are still in the breeders name.

Above pictures taken 6/25/2006.
UPDATE: 3/1/2006 - She's looking real good, gained a
bunch of weight and is integrating herself real well with my herd of equine
goofballs. She has a really good personality and loves attention.
She is a little more picky about her personal space and will strike out.
11/5/2005: We've introduced Sue to the front pasture to continue with
the "getting to know" the herd. Teza is now back in the main pasture.
The interaction between Shima and Sue was not as spectacular with the running
and bucking - but we had a few speedy interchanges. However, all is doing
fine - no major problems yet.

Update: The above pics were taken 8/1/05 while she was still at
Heidi's.
However, on Monday, Oct. 24, Shima come to live for a while with us here at
MKI Horse Farm.
On the Saturday before coming Shima and Beluga (her colt pictured below) were
separated in preparation for his future life. Weaning went well.
Here are her first pictures at here at MKI Horse Farm:

10/24/05: Shima is now in my small front pasture with Teza for company. It was a
little interesting at first to see how they decided who was the boss. That
took a few all out gallops around the pasture and a few buck kicks, but all was
sorted out on that note within 3 hours of her arrival. By Friday evening
(10/28) they were good companions - preferring to munch hay side by side instead
of far apart (I'd placed several nets full of hay around the pasture just incase
they didn't get along so well). All's not totally worked out but they are
working toward it quicker then I thought they would.
June 2005 -
Shima was purchased along with her 2005 colt from a local auction. She was
a
little underweight from nursing the babe, but she's back to gaining weight like
any good Horse Club union member (GRIN).

Beluga (8/1/05)
More pictures of Beluga can be seen
